Wierd Thoughts by Me! (Alex Christensen)

Careful-- my thoughts can sometimes be a little deep! (Ha ha-- like a swimming pool.) Don't be offended by any of them. I know some of them are really dumb and some don't make sense to you.

1. "Support your local firefighters" -- are they suggesting arson?

2. Don't hide in a monkeys arm-pit -- It may be hot and stinky!

3. If you're asked to be a speaker in church are they going to plug you into the organ?

4. "Support your local peace officers" -- are they suggesting crime?

5. I'd hate to know how many people a dvd player has been out with.

5.5. Since cd players are so common shouldn't they be called something different because of their reputation?

6. A hospital motto: "Caring For the Future" -- If I were them I would be caring for our patients. If they are caring for the future when are gas prices going to go down?

7. Aim brand toothpaste -- I could die waiting for them to say fire. (Aim; but when do you fire?)

8. On a box of cereal: "Heart Healthy Weight Loss". I don't think my heart has any weight to lose.

9. You say you miss him? That's good if you're the bad aim.

10. Rotten people are like twisted lumber: they make all of the others go like them.

11. There's another side to the lumber analogy too: There's crooked people, twisted people, and knotty/naughty people, but the straight people are the hardest to find.

12. Mission: Change the second "i" to "s" and add a space before= miss son.

13. On a pizza box: "Cooking Instructions: Cook before eating" -- Bummer, I thought I would take a bite out of it frozen and uncooked. How dumb do they become?

14. "Immunize by 2" -- Do they mean my friend's computer? If so I think it's too late.

15. College -- Is that what happens before you jump off a cliff? (call "ledge")

16. "Support your local schools" -- Does the government not already take enough?

17. Poor-- When another person has less money than you.

18. Rich-- When another person has more money than you.

19. There are toothbrushes, hairbrushes, dogbrushes etc... what kind of a brush does bigfoot use?

20. Employee pay raise: 99% goverment and 1% employee.

21. When someone shouts: "On Belay" does it mean you're now alive or high on some medication called belay? [belay is a climber term meaning lifeline]

22. Market crash -- when did stores ever fly?

23. Table -- Is that more closely related to Tae Bo or Cable?

24. Masking tape -- Does it really "hide" anything?

25. Is a year a "y-shaped" ear?

26. Chemistry=brain+trouble-easy+time/my_attention (equation)

27. Hunger -- Is that what happens when your "honey" growls? (hun-grr)

28. If you have 88 contacts in your address book does that mean you see 43 times better than someone with 2?

(Don't worry-- I won't quit my day job!)

29. (I didn't think this one up but it's great!): Support the [county name] Search and Rescue: GET LOST!

A Little About Me!

I'm not so much the science guy that some people think I am; I'm just interested in technology and new or unknown stuff. I have lots of new ideas and thoughts for inventions. One of my ideas that I would like to see happen that I'm not going to invent is windshield wipers that turn on and adjust as needed. I haven't taken any web designing classes but I have hacked away at this stuff for hours and days to figure out what you see here. I like to figure out things by watching others and by just exploring them.

I like to do adventurous things like exploring caves, rock climbing and rapelling, star and sky-gazing, hiking and running in scenic places, oh and I can't forget: HANG OUT WITH GIRLS! I ran for our High school Cross-Country and Track teams. I like to collect coins. I graduated high school in 2005 with a 4.0 GPA and ranked 1st (a tie with others) out of 131 students in my graduating class. I like to take pictures with my digital camera. I once photographed lightning. That isn't very easy with an HP Photosmart 320 (piece of junk camera)! I don't like to read, but when I do I like to read books by Nicholas Sparks and other romance mystery writers. I like to draw house plans. I like to wire things like houses (I wired my uncles house with all the telephone and TV lines---30 different strands or so-- eeeek! It was fun climbing in the rafters.). I like to build things like houses and sheds -- the framework and everything is awesome. When I was little, maybe 10 or 12, I built an 8' X 8' shed complete with lights, wiring (12v, 120v, and telephone... insulation, etc). I like to do a variety of different things. I like to watch nature especially lightning, rain, waterfalls, and stars. I like to be a part of nature too by climbing trees and being a monkey! I have been to the very top of a 40 foot ash tree in our front yard and very high in our elm tree that I haven't calculated the height to but it is probably 70 feet high.

I dislike: applying for jobs (but it has to be done!); watching TV (there are many things better to do); vanilla scent if it is way strong-- it gives me headaches; doing homework (but it has to be done); hearing curse words; smelling smoke or any other drugs.

I have had many jobs: Snow Cone shop; Newspaper route; Mopping the floor of a gym (very tiring); various jobs for neighbors; feeding / caring for turkeys (It's common in the turkey capital area); construction; sanding picture frames for an artist; Lumber-yard worker at a local Hardware; Staining a cabin; and probably others I can't think of at the moment.

I am an Eagle Scout. I am a member of The Order of the Arrow. I have my Duty to God Award. I am/was CPR certified. I am a member of the National Honor Society. I own more cars than my pockets have room to hold the keys for - a few run and others need minor parts.

Sometimes I'll get really into some thing like writing. I have had two poems that I wrote get published--"Sanctuary" and "A Caring Place"-- They are on my poetry page.

I like to do many things as long as they have good morals and are fun to do. I am the kind of person that likes to do many things and it would be easier to ask me what I don't like.

A few winters ago (2003) I built a really big snowman. My sister saw how cool it was becoming and she joined in to help build it. He was a total of 8'6" tall and 14' in circumference. I'll get a picture of him posted so you can see the cool dude. Kids from all around the neighborhood had to check him out. Some kids even stopped to wave at him as if he were real. He made the front cover of the local newspaper. This last winter (2004) I built a 2 or 3 person igloo because I would have needed a crane to make a macho snowman again. During my senior year in high school I built a really cool bed and nightstand out of cherry and maple wood. I did some really cool woodburning in them. I entered them in a school projects contest and won first place overall and first place in my class period. For winning I recieved a $50 gift card to a store and a free buffet dinner for two at a local diner.

I could go on forever but I think I will stop now. (Sorry it's not very organized-- when a thought came I wrote it.) Randomness galore. Wow! Did I say all of that?
